As schools start back in York County, South Carolina, a new public high school opens its doors for the first time. Catawba Ridge has been under construction for the past year, and all of the school board's hard work has certainly paid off. Catawba Ridge High School is the third public high school to be built in Fort Mill, SC, with the last high school, Nation Ford, opening back in 2007. As Fort Mill’s population has doubled since then, it was definitely time for another addition to the town. With last year's reported annual growth rate of a whopping 13.2 percent, the public schools in Fort Mill were reaching maximum capacity.(1) The Fort Mill school district is noted for having an elite public school system, so many (of Charlotte’s) Charlotte working families have moved across the state line into the Fort Mill area. The Fort Mill school district is ranked (first) in the Charlotte area and (second) in South Carolina. Of the 10,782 districts in the United States, Fort Mill ranks 340th.(2) With such prestigious rankings comes high expectations, and the Fort Mill school district certainly hasn’t disappointed. Catawba Ridge boasts 14 sports, 20 varsity teams, 27 clubs and organizations, a 5,000 seat stadium, a theatre, and so much more.(3) The entire development was estimated at approximately $118,837,089, with an incredible 390,000 square feet of interior building space and a permanent capacity of around 2,400 students.(4) We were excited to provide the signage for Catawba Ridge High School and have enjoyed watching the beautiful development unfold. The size, amenities, and aesthetics of this high school campus puts many colleges to shame. Their football stadium jumbotron alone could remind you of attending a Friday night football game in Clemson University's Death Valley! Take a look through some of the photos below to get a glimpse of how extraordinary this school campus truly is.

What are branded environments?Branded environments embody the architecture, sign design, furniture, location, and branding of a company. Branded environments tell a story, utilizing fixtures, furniture, and visual elements. Branding is not just about a logo in your space - signage can tell your story, with or without words.
